1. LIMELIGHT TEAMWEAR

   We are thrilled to announce that our Limelight MKDA Merchandise is now available for purchase until October 12th (after this date, the online store will be closed).

   This year, we have the convenience of an online store to make things easier for everyone. To make sure you order the right size, we have all sample sizes available for you to try in Studio B. When trying on the samples, we kindly ask that you please hang up the samples exactly where you got them. The more organized the samples are, the better it will be for everyone. If you don’t see the sizes on the front of the garment, please make sure to look inside for the size tag.

2. THANKSGIVING

   The studio is closed for Thanksgiving weekend: October 12th-14th. Classes resume on Tuesday, October 15th. There ARE classes on Friday, October 11th.

3. DANCING WITH THE DOCS

    

   As stated in our September Newsletter:

   MKDA teachers are involved and volunteering their time for Timmins & District Hospital fundraiser called ‘’Dancing With The Docs’’ to be held at The Dante Club on Thursday, October 24th. We are always proud to be active members of this community and giving our time for this event is very important to us. Since the event itself and dress rehearsal are during the week, we will be cancelling classes on the following two days (please mark your calendars):

   Wednesday, October 23rd (All of Melissa & Julie’s classes) Thursday, October 24th (Melissa’s classes only)

   **IMPORTANT: Ms. Cristy’s classes will NOT be cancelled on Thursday, October 24th

4. DANCE DAD’S WANTED!!

   MKDA is looking for Dad’s who are willing to bust a move on our stage at the year-end dance recital!! Dance Dads is always a crowd favorite at our year-end show, and we want to get as many Dads on stage as possible! We are thrilled to see that 17 DADS are already registered and committed, but there is always room for MORE! 

   Please note: The first two practices will be from 8:00-9:00pm on

   Monday, October 21st & Monday, October 28th.

   Starting on Monday, November 4th onwards the practices will be from 8:45-9:45pm.

   We will start learning the recital choreography on October 21st, so come ready to learn, have fun & sweat!

   Oh! Did we forget to mention…..If your son/daughter is on our competitive team, you will also be performing this dance at COMPETITION this year!!  However, even if your son/daughter is NOT on our competitive team, you are still welcome to join us on the competitive stage 

5. COSTUME MEASUREMENTS

    

   Costume measurements are due before November 15th. You can enter your child’s measurements using the SportsEngine app! PLEASE NOTE: Miss Julie will not be measuring students this year. If we do not receive your child’s measurements, Julie will need to guess what size to order your child. This may result in the costume being too big or too small, and alternations will need to be made at your expense.

   *Please make sure to measure in INCHES please*

   NOTE: If you had the SportsEngine app last year, you will need to remove last year’s measurements and enter the new ones.

6. HALLOWEEN

 

There will be no classes on Halloween night (Thursday, October 31st).

IMPORTANT NOTE: Since Melissa’s classes are cancelled for two Thursdays in a row (“Dancing with The Docs” and Halloween), she will be making up her Thursday classes on MONDAY, DECEMBER 9th. Term 1 ends on December 7th, therefore this rescheduled time will not conflict with other dance classes. Please mark your calendars!
