1. TERM 1 END DATE & TERM 2 START DATE

   Term 1 ends on Saturday, December 7th (at the exception of the “rescheduled classes” held the week of Dec. 9th to 13th).

   Term 2 starts on Monday, January 13th, 2025.

2. “RESCHEDULED” CLASSES

   The “RESCHEDULED CLASSES” schedule was sent in a separate email on November 29th. We hope that all dancers can make it for their rescheduled class(es). If your dancer cannot attend these classes, please let the teacher know PRIOR to the class.

1. LIMELIGHT TEAMWEAR

   We are thrilled to announce that our Limelight MKDA Merchandise is now available for purchase until October 12th (after this date, the online store will be closed).

   Our MKDA merchandise make FANTASTIC Christmas gifts

   This year, we have the convenience of an online store to make things easier for everyone. To make sure you order the right size, we have all sample sizes available for you to try in Studio B. When trying on the samples, we kindly ask that you please hang up the samples exactly where you got them. The more organized the samples are, the better it will be for everyone. If you don’t see the sizes on the front of the garment, please make sure to look inside for the size tag.

1. 1. ​WELCOME TO SEASON 20!!!!!

      We would like to give a warm welcome back to all MKDA dancers & families, and wishing all NEW MKDA dancers a fantastic 1st year as part of this great big family! We are thrilled to welcome everyone in our happy place where all dancers feel included, welcomed and free to be themselves.

      Our season begins on Monday, September 9th! ————- Cheers to 20 years!!

Timmins’ own Melissa Kelly-Lavoie has earned top honors at the prestigious Nova Awards 2024, taking home the Newmont Porcupine Young Leader Award. This accolade is a testament to MKDA’s exceptional contribution to youth development through dance.

MKDA, known for its innovative dance programs and community outreach, has been a pillar in nurturing young talent in the Timmins area. The academy’s director, Melissa Kelly-Lavoie, expressed her pride and gratitude, stating, “This award recognizes our commitment to empowering young dancers and fostering a positive, creative environment.”

1. FAMILY LONG WEEKEND IN FEBRUARY

A reminder that the studio is closed for Family Long Weekend February 17^th-20^th. Classes will resume on Tuesday, February 21^st.
